Ms. Vernava's ELA & MATH Homework |
|
ELA We examined the use of adding transition words to our writing to show sequence between and within paragraphs. We have also been practicing using correct punctuation with quotation marks. We have read two Joey Pigza novels this year as we examined story elements and wrote persuasive letters to convince others to read these books. Currently, we are examining informational text, answering comprehension questions, and citing examples to support our work. We have also examined how to use quotation marks correctly.

Interesting Links |
| Students can practice their math and comprehension skills on line by going to http://easycbm.com/kvernava. They need to find their assigned group, find their name, and click on the next "test" they need to complete. These need to be done independently so I can assess what students know and still need to learn. They may use pencil and paper to assist with the math, but no calculators. In the meantime students may go to their math class and take their next assignment under www.studyisland.com.
www.mathplayground.com is a good site for math games. Students can continue to practice their fractions, percents, and decimals on this site. Click on the link here for quick access.
