Absences and Make Up Work
If a student is absent, it is his
or her responsibility to find out what work needs to be made
up and what notes need to be copied. For each day absent,
students have that many days to make up the homework, test,
or quizzes missed. A zero is received for any work not made
up. It is strongly recommended that students come in for
extra help if they have been absent for an extended period
due to illness. I am available in my classroom from
2:30-3:30 on Tuesdays for additional math support.
Student Agendas
Student should write their
assignments in their agenda every night! Even if there
is no homework, the agenda should state, “none”. This
is the #1 way to stay on top of your child’s assignments.
Homework assignments vary from class to class and nightly
tasks will not be posted on the website. Homework can
and will change daily depending on how much we accomplish in
a given class period. One major learning process for a
middle school student is organization and individual
responsibility. The agenda helps with both!!
Parents, please check your child’s agenda frequently!
If you notice it is not being filled out address this with
your child. Chances are they are not completing their
assignments if they are not writing them down. You can
also communicate with me via your child’s agenda if you do
not have access to email.
