It is going to be a wonderful year
in science! The students will be participating in hands-on learning
throughout the year. The topics covered will include
the scientific method,
populations and ecosystems,
microscopes and cells,
and
the reproductive system.
To ensure your child's success in science this year, please take a few minutes a couple of times a week to help your child organize their science notebooks. Several times a week, the students will take numbered notes (which they use to study for their tests). On days we have a lab, the students will write a question, hypothesis, and will collect data, which they use to write their lab reports. The students should also have a folder for their worksheets, homework, and quizzes. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or concerns.
