Welcome to SEVENTh grade!

October 2010

Dear Families,

A chill is definitely in the air. The once green landscape around us is exploding into beautiful vibrant hues of red, orange, and yellow. The dog days of summer have passed, and Fall has made an entrance! This time of year is always exciting for me... beginning of a new school year, getting to know new students, working with new people. With the holiday season quickly approaching, adults and children alike often possess a new optimism, greater generosity, and renewed determination. It is with these qualities that I embrace the challenges ahead of meeting each students' individual academic needs. My expectations are set high for my students, and supports are put into place for them to reach their potential. However, a successful middle school experience relies on each student's individual desire to do well. Just as the physical landscape is changing around us due to weathering and sometimes harsh changes in season, each child will also undergo a transformation throughout the year. I feel privileged to be a part of nurturing and encouraging your child's academic, social, and emotional growth. Adolescence can be a difficult time, but TOGETHER, we can support and encourage your child along the way. I look forward to the explosion of self confidence, self-esteem, and academic growth that will greet us in the spring.
