Math: Mr. Ferro

UPDATED 8/27/08 FOR WEEK ENDING 8/29/08

Hello and welcome back

This year’s focus is getting ready for the High school!!!!

We are going to go ( and Learn) as far as we possibly can into the Algebra one curriculum.

We will be starting off with some review and NECAP preparation.

Assignments:  Students should practice what they learned in class for at least 20 minutes every night.  The website www.aaamath.com is a great resource or the student’s class work / worksheets students worked on in class.

This is a crucial time for being successful in mathematics.  From this point on and all the way through high school we will be learning algebraic concepts and skills.  It all starts with solving one and two step equations.  Student will have ample opportunity in class to develop this skill.  However it is very important that they also practice at home.

Just because I do not assign homework doesn't mean you don't have homework.  Visit the website below and work on some basic math skills.

Practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing integers and solving equations for 20 minutes each night; visit this website: www.aaamath.com,

or create your own practice worksheets @ www.superkids.com
