Dear Parents,

My name is Emily Muzzy and I will be your child’s resource teacher this school year. This is my fifth year in the sixth grade and my eleventh year as a special educator in Coventry.  My goal is for each and every student to learn and feel powerful enough to make a difference within their education. I feel strongly that communication between home and school is the key to becoming a successful learner. My door is always open and I welcome emails and phone calls from parents for any reason no matter how small it may seem. I will be sending home several letters to you throughout the school year in regards to your child’s IEP. I have reviewed them and the transition folders that have accompanied your child to the middle school. If you feel that there may be information that would be important to share with myself and the team, please do not hesitate to contact me to set up a meeting. I look forward to meeting you and working with your child throughout this school year.
