Storyboard
Guidelines
You will be creating your storyboard on a piece
of construction paper. Divide the paper
into 8 equal boxes. Include the
following information in each square as you describe your book. Do not write the definitions in each
square. They are simply provided to help
you understand the meaning of each element.
From left to right:
Square #1:
Your name, the title of the book and the author’s name
Square #2: Setting – the time and place of the event
Square #3:
Characters – the people or sometimes the animals in a story or book
Square #4: Plot – what happens in the book
Square #5:
Conflict – the problem between two or more characters
Square #6: Solution – how the problem is resolved
Square #7:
Conclusion – how the book ends
Square #8:
Your personal reaction to the book
Note:
Each element should be centered at the top of each square. Descriptions should include 4-5
sentences. You should include drawings for
squares 2-7. You should use a computer
or blue or black ink. Your poster should
be colorful and display lots of hard work and effort.
