English Language Arts
Students are
expected to work on their research reports EVERY night for their homework. Any work that is done in class can be taken
home and transferred to further rough drafts, even typed out onto the computer
to make the final copy easier. Right now
we are working on the body of the essay and hope to have the entire rough draft
written by Friday, May 30th.
This week
students are responsible for homework every night! Tuesday, May 27th students need to type out
the paragraphs written in class along with their bibliography. Wednesday, May 28th, students again need
to type out what was written in class.
Thursday, May 29th we are writing introductions in class so
students can come home and type that out and Friday, May 30th
students are writing conclusions and they can go home and type that out. The final copy is due Thursday, June 5th. Next week students will be able to work on
their essay or their visual aid in class on Monday-Thursday.
There are
several graphic organizers that will be provided for the students to use and
they are available on my website for ELA.
The final due date for the project is: research report due Thursday,
June 5th and Visual Aid due Monday, June 9th. More information is to come and will be
available on the other page of the website.
The final
quote sandwich of the year has been passed in!!!! I am cancelling the
final summary plus that was due on 6/6 so as of now, May 22, 2008 the reading
assignments are done. Students who owe a
missing assingment or wish to write a redo may still
do so for the next 2 weeks.
