Social Studies Department Meeting Agenda – September 12, 2007

 

  1. Adopt Protocols (PLC amendments?) – We need to come to a consensus on our department protocols. Please look over the PLC Norms handed out and emailed to you.

 

  1. Designated Roles:
    1. Notes: We need a designated note person willing to take meeting notes (This will be for the administration and for reference)
    2. Facilitator
    3. Presenter(s)

 

  1. Sharing Best Practice Itinerary: Refer to Sharing Best Practice Topics

 

  1. Observations: RIC, URI, etc. college students need to make observations of social studies classrooms. Are you willing to open your door?

 

  1. Budget/Inventory: Please have you Inventory Lists completed and a list of anything you still NEED. Many materials will be displayed and be available for you to claim or bring to your classroom, including maps, posters, books, etc.

 

  1. China Seminar & Lectures Available – Applications, Car pooling, etc.
