Collaboration and Support:
For each major PD program, describe how teachers will be provided
opportunities for ongoing collaboration and discussion regarding their

1.
A full
day of training for a committee of administrators and teachers to work
with a consultant from the New England League of Middle Schools (NELMS)
to build a training module on teaming to be un-rolled to the entire
staff in the Fall of 2008.
The focus areas will be understanding personality styles, conflict
resolution, and consensus building.
Committee members will work with either Dr. Almeida or Tracey
Whitehead and distribute the professional development to their
respective teams (Each administrator is assigned to 7 teams).

implementation of the module will be monitored through observations of
team meetings, changes in teacher behavior reported in common planning
time logs, informal mini-observations, and parent and student feedback. |
During action team
meetings every other month and on a full in-service day used to develop
the module. |
