Changes in Instruction:
What will teachers do to ensure students learn and develop

Professional
Development (PD) in support of Changing Instruction:
For each change
in instructional practice, detail the PD that will support making
those changes. Include:

Who will facilitate the
PD?

When the PD is
scheduled to take place.

How will the
professional development implementation be monitored? |
Collaboration and
Support: For each major PD
program, describe how teachers will be provided opportunities for
ongoing collaboration and discussion regarding their PD and putting
it into practice. |
Resources, School and
District: What school-wide
and district supports and resources will be necessary to implement
the PD? Indicate the source of funds for each program of PD. (e. g.,
Article 31, Title I, etc.).

Evaluating
Results/Reporting to Families and Community:

What evidence will the
school use to draw conclusions about the impact and effectiveness of
each major PD program?

for organizing the evaluation?

1. Each team will work together on
an in-service day to explicitly identify connections between math
curriculum and other content areas.
2. Math
teachers on each team will facilitate the development/work of the in
service days.
3. The PD is scheduled for January,
2008 and February, 2008.
4.
The implementation of the PD will be monitored by SIT and the
Numeracy Action Team. A culminating report will be developed and
shared with the entire faculty. |
Each team will meet for an entire
day. Teachers will also meet during CPT, department, and faculty
meetings to engage in professional conversations, participate in and
reflect on professional development. |

1.
Mathematics NECAP Assessment Results, SALT Survey Results, CPT logs,
Analysis of Student Work, Numeracy Action Team Report
2.
The Action Team and school administrators will be
responsible for organizing the evaluation.
3.
Evaluation and completion of activities will take
place in April, 2008.
