Activity/Series: Development of Math Activities
and Games

Professional
Development (PD) in support of Changing Instruction:
For each change
in instructional practice, detail the PD that will support making
those changes. Include:

professional development implementation be monitored? |
Collaboration and
Support: For each major PD
program, describe how teachers will be provided opportunities for
ongoing collaboration and discussion regarding their PD and putting
it into practice.

Resources, School and
District: What school-wide
and district supports and resources will be necessary to implement
the PD? Indicate the source of funds for each program of PD. (e. g.,
Article 31, Title I, etc.).

Evaluating
Results/Reporting to Families and Community:

1. Math teachers will create/compile
grade specific math activities and games that target math skills and
concepts.
2. Kevin
Seekell, Math Curriculum Coordinator, will facilitate the
development of the in service day.
3. The PD is scheduled for January,
2008.
4.
The implementation of the PD will be monitored by math teachers
after reviewing the activities created. |
The School Improvement Team and the
Numeracy Action Team meet monthly to implement and assess the plan.
Teachers meet during CPT and department to engage in professional
conversations, engage in and reflect on professional development
related to the math activities and games. |

1.
Mathematics NECAP Assessment Results, SALT Survey Results, CPT logs,
Analysis of Student Work
2.
The Action Team and school administrators will be
responsible for organizing the evaluation.
3.
They will take place on a monthly basis during
common planning time. Completion will culminate
in June, 2008. |
